Novice / Ring Ready Class

7-Week Program

Have you ever thought about trying competition obedience and earning a title with your dog? Or maybe you simply want to teach the obedience exercises to improve focus and attention in everyday life?

This class will cover the essential exercises needed for competition while also teaching practical techniques to prevent common issues like distractions and loss of focus. We’ll also touch on the Beginner Novice level — a perfect introduction for those who want to get their feet wet in the obedience ring.

The class runs for 7 weeks. Week 1 is a handler-only session (no dogs), designed to help you prepare for the weeks ahead. Bring your coffee or tea, a notebook, and be ready to plan! Homework will be given to set you up for success in Week 2. Each week builds on the last, so consistent attendance is important for you and your dog’s progress.
